Home Sweet Home

Have you seen the film Cannery Row with Nick Nolte and Debra Winger? It’s one of my all-time favorites, and when I saw Canntella here, I immediately thought of Debra Winger in that film, living in her tiny self-made home.

Third Coast stamps used: Canntella’s Cask FT-214-I, Home Sweet Home WS-118-G, Old Oak Tree LG – CM-212, Grassy Mound MY-059-D, Long Grass CH-097-CC, Patch of Grass CH-089-FF

Yup, we all know it, there’s no place like home. Sure, sometimes home is where you lay your coat, but it’s also a question of attitude: where do you feel at home? Where can you be yourself, freely and without faking anything? There is your home. Thus, home is not always at the address you live in, it may be elsewhere.
No matter how small, how rudimentary, how un-home-like your home is, it is your haven and it is what you spend the day striving toward, that peace of body and soul.

May you sleep in such a home at the end of this day :)
